Maui Food Photographer is on the location! Here are images from Aipono Wine Dinner at Ka’ana Kitchen, Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort.
I enjoyed photographing Chef Jonathan Pasion’s creation. His dishes are colorful and well designed. Many chefs say that “You taste with your eyes first.” and that is so true. These dishes are not only designed well for our eyes but for the taste and textures.
I matched the color for the background choosing an accent color from the first-course dish. Finding the right light is always tricky on the location, thus Carrying extra diffusers and reflectors is a great idea if you are on the mission of food photography on location. You can use them to add or extract the light.
