Maui Food Photographer, Mieko Horikoshi

She was born and raised in Japan then matured on the island of Maui, Hawai’i. Her work is published many times both locally and globally. Since childhood, Mieko was always fascinated by how the light adds drama to the ordinal scene. It was only natural that she was attracted to photography. She has been a professional photographer since 2000 and has received Kodak Gallery Award, Photographic Excellence in 2013. Foodelia International Food Photography Awards recognized her as a top photographer in 2016. Besides being a photographer, she is a dedicated mother to her two daughters, a Violin student, and a daily meditator.
